- Use a sock to dust furniture, or spray with glass cleaner to clean mirrors and windows. That way you won't have to use any paper towels or wipes.
- On a rainy afternoon make sock puppets with your kids. Depending on their ages, either you can put on a puppet show or the kids can perform for you.
- At work or school, put a sock on a water bottle to prevent condensation from getting on your desk and papers.
- Create your own heating pad. Fill a sock with dried beans then tie it closed. Put it in the microwave for 1 minute for warm relief.
Before you throw out your old sock, be green and think about giving it a new life.
