been there doing that, some easy things are make up some trail mixes or just simple cookies, brownies, breads or even pancake bases wherever your imagination comes up with that u can layer the dry ingredents into jars & don't be afraid to reuse a well cleaned jar because u can always get some stickers or paint, or left over fabric to jazz it up. Don't be limited if you have no jars or even homemade mixes storebought is ok just take it out of the package into a ziplock bag can use wrap in a tea towel (way cheap & who couldn't use a kitchen towel) & don't forget instrutions (a good way to reuse old x-mas cards. I hope this helps & check out sheknows for familycorner too

My girlfriend has knitted my kids a blanket each Christmas.

I'll do a collage of photos for my parents of the year. I print them out on the computer from my digital camera.

We always do cookies every year and you can wrap up a small dozen and give them as gifts.

We always do crafty ornaments with the kids pictures in it and put the year at the bottom. Just glue their picture on a piece of cardboard and get some small Sharpey markers and write their name, age and year at the bottom and top it off with ribbon.

Refreshing, wasn't it, to not see Jenny Sanford standing silently beside her fake-Appalachian-Trail-hiking, adulterous husband? And, then, to see her personally hand her statement to reporters.
