Hot color: matte metallics

After seeing Dosa's muted, silvery, cracked-leather pouf last week in the March issue of Domino, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. (Never mind the fact that it doesn't go with anything in my apartment and I'm not even really sure what one does with a pouf. Can you actually sit on them? Or are they just there to convey that, "We're so cool and casual, we totally hang on the floor all the time" vibe?) In any case, my desire for the pouf felt justified when I saw Oh Joy's homage to matte metallics today. (That and the fact that Auto, where this piece is sold, has already run out of the silver, white, and "silt" versions—only gold remains.) If you must have one of these in your life, act fast.
