I just keep digging my self deeper and deeper

So i thought that i was finally over all of my money troubles. I had paid off alot of our bills with income taxes and thought we were right on track. But no. Now i am in dept up to my ears and I have no money to get me out of it. It seems like every time that i get somewhere that I think that things are going to be allright I just sink deeper and deeper into debt. We try to mananage our money well. We dont spend money on frivioulis things. but we still seem to keep slipping into debt.

It just makes me so depressed. I hate having to worry about money all the time. But what else can i do?We dont seem to be able to get ourselves out of debt. Do you know any ways to help reduce the stress of all of this? I sure hope so cause i dont know what to do next.

My big question to you would be, is money the only thing that you feel like you need to have complete controll over. And are you more relaxed in other aspects of your life.

I have different way's to look at all this so visit my blog if you would like. Doulamamame's blog.

dont stree yourself too much. live day by day for now. if you keep on stressing and depressing you will get sick and thats another problem. u r not the only one on this planet who is in debt. all the people. talk to one company to consolidate your bills into one and u will just pay that company but all your debt are paid. try this and if doesnt work, just live day by day, your health is important than anything else.

I know the feeling. I bought my first house last year, and while I am extremely happy about it, I always feel like I am struggling. It's a little better now, but with high prices for food, gas, etc. it is always a struggle. I have always gone by a budget; if you don't do that, it's a really good thing. I update mine weekly, and it helps me to know how much money I can spend. I just set up a simple spreadsheet in Excel to keep up with it. When my bank statement comes in, I reconcile it against the spreadsheet. It helps you see little things you might not realize. It helped me realize that I needed to spend MUCH less eating out. Sometimes it's hard to grasp how much little stuff like that adds up. Also, consolidate; if you have credit card bills, it may be helpful to transfer them to another card with a lower interest rate. Just be sure the lower interest rate will last long enough to paid the card off. (Some cards only have low interest rates for a year or so; if it will take longer than that to pay it off, you may want to go a different route) I'm not saying that will solve your problem, but it was helpful to me. I just paid my credit card off not long ago, and let me tell you, that is the greatest feeling. I am not planning to use it again, if possible. Keep your head up, you will make it. Good luck!

Consolidating bills is not always the best thing. If you have a LOT of debt all on one credit card, the monthly payment can be really high, and if you pay the minimum one month, the next month it will be higher and then higher. But if you can manage more than the minimum, it would be easier to pay just one payment each month. See if you can get a credit card without a monthly finance charge. For awhile my husband and I were moving our balance from one card to another, signing up for those zero interest deals. Just make sure you pay it on time each month, because if you're late, only once, the finance charge will apply.

As for budgeting, I've come up with a system that works, but then the challenge is finding time to sit down and do it each month. I agree with what Bedazzler said about figuring out how much you have to spend each month and not going over it. If you have too many bills to pay, get rid of something — Do you need that cell phone? Directv?

Use coupons! They do help, and buy with the sales. I know, with food and gas prices, and everything else, it's just so expensive to do anything these days.

As a last resort, switch to cash and use your check book for bills only. That way, if you have to hand over actual money to buy something, it might make you think twice.

Great advice, Jett! I couldn't agree with you more. Thanks!
