I LOVE DE$K

user

The GEORGE NELSON / HERMAN MILLER CSS - The one that I want. This is the one would look best and provide more storage space in the apartment. But, the boy and I are looking for a more multi-purposed desk to both study at and to work on.  Unfortunately we do a lot of work with x-acto knives and at $4,200, it makes it easier to look away. The above Herman Miller Comprehensive Storage System is made with Modular Walnut shelving and aluminum poles and is priced at $4,200 USD - available at Studio One 11.

PAUL McCOBB black lacquered single-pedestal desk

PAUL McCOBB black lacquered planner group desk.  There is space in the bedroom for a small desk to host a laptop and various term papers.  This Paul McCobb desk has a rectangular top and two drawers with ring pulls, sits on tapering dowel leg supports, and comes with a desk chair with single broad backslat. It would go so nicely with this other McCobb piece (if we had the space and money).
29 1/4" x 48" x 24".

JEAN PROUVE  Compass Desk - Oak, enameled metal 63w x 27.5d x 29h.  Now this is more of what I think we're looking for.  We both love the industrial, mid-century look. Plus, the color matches an older fan his grandmother gave him.  This particular desk is at Wright auction house and is valued between $5-7K (yes, thousands) I love this bench too!

We know what we want.  It's just that we need to find something that we can afford.  Or make!
