Ok, that’s a bit of a stretch, but not too far
off!
It seems like everyone has a twitter account these days… (not that they all use them!) But it’s become a new and (very!) succinct way to let everyone what you are up to… What you think about a subject and specials and promotions for businesses. Nothing like a 140 characters to try to tell your current life story!
It’s a funny thing, but even more than Facebook, twitter has
become my favorite form of electronic voyeurism.
Even simple things like weather updates from my favorite u-pick farms in different parts of the country are simply marvelous. While I don’t miss Arizona – Schnepf Farms was always a highlight. Now, Carrie Schnepf tweets her every move, it’s just like time spent hanging out – WITHOUT the 110 degrees!
Some of my favorite things are the wry observations from my witty and wretched friends… A cup of coffee has little on my friend Bear and his commentary for ‘wake-up’ value.
Bear and I lived in the same city for years, and now that we are
several states apart, following his tweets makes me feel a little
closer to our ‘old days’.
Souvenir Cosmetics (and I) use Twitter to pass on tricks, tips and techniques. While tweeting hasn’t translated to a jump in sales, I do feel like we are reaching people and it’s fun to thing that we are communicating in yet another way.
Who are your favorite tweeters? Got anyone that simply flips your funny bone? Has remarkable ramblings? I’d love to ‘meet’ them (or tweet them!!)
