The luminescent, light-washed interiors from the Hollywood set of Something's Gotta Give have been some of the most requested inspirational interiors for creating a crisp, summer look. The set's design was based on a home in the Hamptons designed by Victoria Hagan—but you don't need professional help to get the style in your own place.

To recreate the large area rug, buy several blue and white striped rugs like this Lighthouse Denim indoor/outdoor rug from Dash & Albert and have them stitched together for a custom fit. $85 each, dashandalbert.com. (Dimensions: 3ft x 5ft)

Victoria Hagan for Target's Perfect Pieces Newport table is an affordable way to bring a bit of Hagan's own touch into your living room. $69.99, target.com.

Slipcovered sofas are the stress-free solution for kids, pets and the stains that inevitably go with them. We like Pottery Barn's Charleston sofa, $1499, potterybarn.com. (Dimensions: 96"W x 36D x 37"H)

The same goes for Crate & Barrel's Bayside chair's relaxed cotton slipcover. $959, crateandbarrel.com. (Dimensions: 32"Wx37"Dx31"H)

I love the look of having furniture away from the walls, but tell me, how to you manage lamps and cords in the middle of the room? I don't see extension cords snaking from the middle of the rooms to the outlets. Do all these rooms have floor outlets?

I like the living room created by Goldie Hawn's character in the movie with Steve Martin, Housesitter, I think. The whole house was great, but the furniture was especially interesting.

I love the beach house. I’ve trying to find some of the artwork from the movie, especially the beach scene in the living room. I think it’s called rockaway beach. I can’t find anything. Can anyone help?
