When the gas prices were $3.00 + a
gallon $20.00 dollars put a
quarter tank in my truck which would
take me back and forth to college for one week. Now that
gas prices are in the low $2.00 range
$20.00 gives me half a
tank of gas which is totally cool.
However, I'm noticing that it still only gets me back and
forth to school for one week? How can that
be...I've checked the tire pressure, got an oil
change, changed the air filter and no difference...I'm
starting to wonder if they are watering down the gas to compensate
for the low price...Has this happened to any one else?

Report AbuseIt is possible... they used to do it in Europe all the time to make gas go further. They didn't use water, but anything volatile, cooking oil, various alcohols, etc.
