Life is it as good as it can get? Or is spring really aound the corner?

As I sit here on this dull grey rainy day, looking out of
the window whilst typing my blog, I start to wonder if life will
get better. . I have yet another cold, my throat is so sore, that
my voice has gone completely. So unable to be at work at the
moment, I sit here in my pink fluffy dressing gown and ponder is
this it?
Will life get any
better?
Will Spring be better this year?
When do the light nights start again and the clocks
alter?
Questions Questions
Questions!!!!

Think I must have SAD syndrome or
something as I am sure the winter weather makes me miserable, yet
as soon as Spring peeps around the corner and that wonderful warm
fresh spring smell is in the air, I can actually feel myself
cheering up and looking forward!
Winter seems to be a time
of slowing down and reflection, yes I know Christmas and New Year
I can hear you shouting, but apart from
that there is January, a month I know an awful
lot of us hate!
Not only is it dull,
with grey dark nights, its also the longest month on the
calender, when you are desperately waiting for your
wages!.
Surely someone somewhere, could come up
with a way of putting some sort of bank holiday in the
middle of the month to break it up and maybe give us a
break, to just sit cuddled up on the settee and watch DVD's
.( Lets face it, we havent any money to go out, thats all been used
up buying Christmas Presents and food for the world and his wife!!)
That might make us feel a whole lot better also give us a weeks pay
just after New Year to tide us through until the LONG awaited
payday!

Now dont get me wrong, there
are parts of Winter that I love, that is when it snows, which
because I live in Manchester tends only to last a day.
There is nothing prettier than freshly laid pure white
virgin snow, the type that is soft like talcum powder, not yet
frozen or gone slushy! Even the grottiest of areas, turns in to a
winter wonderland when it snows, it seems to mask everything and
dampen down the noise from the street, you see
children playing out in the street, either building
snowmen or throwing snowballs, their eyes sparkling and cheeks
bright red from the cold. My favourite pastime is sledging and yes
I am old enough to know better but I simply don't care, it
is the best fun in the world.
Try it I guarantee it will
make you feel exhilerated, yes you will be sore and wet afterwards,
but you will also have laughed, your cheeks will have a healthy
glow and you will be as hungry as a horse! Food will taste
ten times better than it ever has believe me!

Am off for now to have a shower and make myself look a
little more human. There are things I have to say in my next blog
but you will have to wait to find out what!!
