Once again, Obama plays the Politics of Division to forge his
place in History. It doesn't matter how he gets there, or
who he hurts in the process. By his own language, he sees
this as some game in which the victor will (by default) be on the
right side of history.
To get reluctant Dumocrat congressmen to come aboard the Obamacare
Express, Obama wooed them with grand visions of glory and history
-- and marginalized opponents as "anti-government" and
"extremists."
Obama must truly believe this because he has used these terms
numerous times since the 2009 summer.
"Even if you are paranoid, it doesn't mean that they
aren't out to get you." It really sounds like he is
setting up opponents as dangerous people, who must be silenced
unless they comply, and soon.

Lawmakers Detail Obama’s Pitch

"In an odd coincidence, the House debate on Saturday to
overhaul health care took place on the third anniversary of the
2006 election that gave Democrats majority control after 12 years
of Republican dominance. It fell to President Obama and to
Congressional leaders to persuade those Democrats still sweating
the final vote that it would not prove the party’s undoing in next
November’s midterm elections.
Both Mr. Obama and the House leaders showcased Democrats’ newest colleague, Representative Bill Owens, who last Tuesday won a special election in an upstate New York district that Republicans had held since 1872. In the campaign, Mr. Owens gave unabashed support to the pending House health care bill, despite the opposition of national conservative groups, including the new Tea Party Patriots, who backed Mr. Owens’s conservative rival.
Mr. Obama, during his private pep talk to Democrats, recognized Mr. Owens’s election and then posed a question to the other lawmakers. According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”
Another freshman Democrat from New Mexico, Representative Martin Heinrich, said the president’s comments overall were reassuring. “If you want to see a recipe for failure,” Mr. Heinrich said, “don’t do the things you talked about in your campaigns and turn your back on your base. All the independent voters in the world don’t matter if the Democrats don’t turn out.”
“This is an opportunity to do something as big as Social Security,” he added. “And me, personally, I don’t want to be on the wrong side of history.” "

That Obama can be so brazen as to call opponents to the
health care bill "anti-government" and
"extremists" is an outrage. It is further proof
that Obama disrespects the Constitution, and that his policies pose
a clear and present danger to the Republic.
Moreover, Obama's words are lies, because rabid proponents of the bill, particularly his dear SEIU, are perpetrating extremism and acts of violence on anyone who is even perceived to oppose their view.
Here are two recent reports about SEIU. One is the official report of a St. Louis beating of a black man in August. The other is a beating of a California state worker who was beaten bloody by SEIU last Friday (11/06) in Sacramento
Police Report on Gladney Beating by SEIU
Thugs

"It has been more than three months since Kenneth Gladney was viciously attacked by SEIU employees. The assault wasn’t an accident, but a deliberate attempt to intimidate and silence tea party activists and town hall protesters. The morning of the Gladney assault, the White House presented to Senate Democrats a ‘battle plan’ to quell the protests. The White House advised Democrats “punch back twice as hard.” Gladney was the first casualty. ..."

EXCERPT:
"A state worker is recovering after a bloody brawl at a union
hall. He says members of the local SEIU 1000 beat him up and sent
him to the hospital all because he wanted to expose allegedl
corruption within the union.
Ken Hamidi is a state worker at the California Franchise Tax Board. Last night he walked into a union hall in Sacramento for an SEIU local 1000 meeting.
"We had every right to be here, very simple; it wasn't anything private or anything exclusive," said Hamidi.
But Hamidi says the union members did not want him there.
"Three, four people jumped at me, wrestled with me, then did all that," said Hamidi. "I was covered in blood and then over to the emergency room.""
