Despite the supposed $7 million advance for her forthcoming memoir, Sarah Palin seems to be striking out on the lecture circuit. According to the New York Post, though Palin signed with the Washington Speakers Bureau (an A-list service which represents speakers as varied as George Bush and Dodgers' manager Joe Torre), she just isn't getting booked.
An industry expert tells Page Six that Palin's asking price of $100,000 per lecture isn't being met because "the big lecture buyers in the U.S. are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot."
Referencing the now-infamous interview with Katie Couric, the industry expert goes on to say: "Palin is so uninteresting to so many groups -- unless they are interested in moose hunting. What does she have to say? She can't even describe what she reads."
Could this be bad news for the former governor of Alaska, who quit her day job to pen "Going Rogue," which is due in stores on November 17th? Or is this just another situation she'll "maverick" her way out of?
