Southwest Airlines has a 48 hour sale going on right now that ends at 11:59 PT tonight, so hurry to book the flights for your Fall Getaway!
 
I thought it was a gimmick, but every city is on sale and the one-way tickets are priced like this:

30$ on routes up to 400 miles

60$ on flights up to 750 miles

90$ on flights over 750 miles

You have to book by 11:59 PT tonight for travel dates of September 9th-November 18th

I played with several dates out of several cities, and on every one I selected they had at least 2 discounted flight options available with only 1 layover (though the flights were during the afternoon),

My mom is a travel nurse and flies several times a month, so I told her about it and she has already booked her flights in advance!

I also read that AirTran and Frontier have specials going on too, but don't know the details so you may want to check those too!
