Rejection

"...rejected as worthless..."

IMG_6599 by you.

"The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all." (Psalm 118:22 & quoted again in Acts 4:11)

Okay, admit it...you've spent untold hours in your yard during the spring and summer trying to rid it of the "dreaded" dandelions!  Then, if your neighbor didn't do the same, you probably cast a few dirty looks toward his yard and muttered a few less-than-kind words as his "disgusting yellow weeds" turned to feathery white and proceeded to repopulate your yard with the "awful aliens."  Many a dandelion has known the wrath of the green lawn fancier.

But wait... just this week I read that scientists have discovered a new procedure that will allow them to commercially produce natural latex from dandelions!  Apparently this comes just in the nick of time because the rubber tree plantations are being attacked by a new fungus that threatens to wipe out that source of natural latex.  The tiny plant that has spawned a multimillion dollar lawn pesticide industry aimed at its destruction may turn out to provide the latex necessary for doctor's gloves when they perform surgery in hospitals.  Imagine that...

There are many persons in our world today that we tend to reject as "worthless"  for a variety of reasons, too many for me to go into in this brief offering.  Maybe we should learn our lesson from Jesus - the one the Apostle Paul says who was the "rejected stone" that "turned out to be the most important of all."  I pray that God will confront, convict, and heal me if ever or whenever I look upon another and have any thought of their somehow being "worthless."  How about you?

Blessings and Peace,

Hello Dr Gary Nelson , Stages ...we go through it , with different versions for each individual ... by experience some understood some capitalize on it ... when somebody falls , some laugh and try to make money on it , humor is inverted ... it used to be when someone in trouble , people reach out a hand ... now they laugh their asses out and make fun ... when somebody makes a mistake , it use to be a sign that that person can and does need or can use some help ... but in these day in age ... may God have mercy on our souls !
