In earlier posts, I've griped about Shine's apparent
inability or unwillingness to respond to spammers and trolls.
Since then, I've noticed that spam-type (advertisements or
long, pointless posts) entries have dropped and seem to
disappear within minutes of posting.
More recently, they have been on the uptick again, disrupting many
blogs.
I thank Shine for taking measures to reduce spammers, but I think
there needs to be a system by which spam can be more readily barred
from being posted in the first place. After all, our posts
are screened before they are posted (even if using an automated
scanning).
As to preemptive flagging of my post or reply by a troll, for the
purpose of creating trouble for me or for others of similar mind,
the jury is still out.
Although the email with Shine has stopped, and I'm still here,
I find it concerning that a troll with an opposing view can flag my
blog as being abusive, invoking the Shine machine to warn me and
threaten loss of my Shie AND Yahoo! e-mail account.
Time will tell but, if Shine is responsive on this front, I will
gladly make it known.

Report AbuseI personally wouldn't mind using captchas (or whatever they are called) or some kind of preview post like Buzz or Answers uses if it will cut down on the spam.

Report AbuseHi Mhu... Right there with you! You know how I feel about the subject. I think if we all were equipped with a "delete post" button, alot of this could be solved. Most web sites do have this feature!

Just because some troll named hmu and peabody decides to complain about my text links doesn't mean I can't respond to their troll comments. Their actually is a business named COX you morons and yes they are a communications company. Next time I write a blog about COX doesn't actually mean I'm talking about [profane] The reference in my blog title was a joke, it just went over your dam heads.
Since when are links not allowed in blog post?
This is a dam women related site right?
WTH is the problem with me posting links, inside my content not yours, on design it yourself jewellery?
