Straw Bale Gardens
Try building a straw bale garden bed. Simply choose a sunny
spot and surround the area with straw bales fill with
soil and plant. Garden centers can usually help you find
someone who will deliver and dump soil in or near by...a good thing
to think about when choosing a spot.<br> Really
tough soil can transformed by this process. Area will be soft and
easily dig able in years to come when the straw
decomposes.<br> If you have gophers line
with GOPHER wire (not chicken)...If you have back problems you will
love it.<br> I like to place the bales on
there narrow side making the soil much deeper, but you can go the
other way and will need a lot less soil to fill, and gives a great
place to sit.<br> Have fun folks and grow
