Semi precious stones abound along the beach as well. The Catala shipwreck occurred along the shoreline---this final resting spot is a great place to explore and spend the day.
Port Clinton, Ohio
Port Clinton, Ohio, is home to some of the most beautiful waters in the world---including one of the great lakes---Lake Erie. In the northern part of the state lies this quaint tourist town. This is an affordable and family friendly location. There are several cottages for rent directly on the lake and several campgrounds that abound throughout the area. Put-in-Bay, Cedar Point Amusement Park and the African Safari and Wildlife Park are close by. Enjoy affordable fresh seafood at one of the locally owned restaurants in the area. Stroll through town and enjoy the quaint shops and antique stores.
