Thinking about remodeling?

user

For those of you thinking about remodeling, think twice and do your homework before you decide on a contractor. What might seem like a safe bet when picking a contractor might just be the bigest nightmare of your life. I have talked to clients that have used J R Designs(JR McDade) out of Scottsdale and they are not happy. Some of they issues are, slow to no response to problems, construction schedules that run much longer than promised by the Designers/sales team, lack of knowledge by the Designers and especially the construction managers since they are only framing contractors hired to manage the whole process. Not a good combination! Make sure you always use a licensed contractor that has been in business for at least 3 or 4 years and get references. References are the best way to check on the quality of a contractor especially if you get multiple references. Don't be fooled by fancy advertising or a fancy showroom, do your homework and your remodeling experience will be a good one.
