Truly Mom: A smart planner, a life less hectic

Soccer practice. Carpool. PTA meeting. Ballet recital. Pediatrician appointment. Spin class. And what do you mean, you're supposed to bring a culturally-appropriate food item to share with class today, and you're studying ancient Egypt? Well, bagels are just going to have to cut it.

Summer has drawn to a close, and the hectic school year has begun. Truly Mom has it covered with a day planner designed especially for moms. The calendar starts in August, just as the summer winds down, and it has plenty of room to write down everything. The organizer also includes an address book, notepads, sticky notes, and color-coded stickers for tracking kids’ activities.

Truly Mom’s mission is to help moms get organized, simply and efficiently. Michelle Nicastro founded the company with her sister and one friend after Michelle’s battle with cancer left the threesome determined to enjoy life more – and to be better organized so they could appreciate all of the small moments that make family life special.

Ok... though I like the concept $55+ seems a bit steep when you can get similar products or create your own for less...

Katie B.: You're right, there are certainly planners out there that cost less, but the reason we think TrulyMom is worth the price is that it's such a unique, comprehensive solution. We like:

--the note pads (each one has a special function -- helps with multitasking and managing those overlapping schedules

--the calendar (built around the school year and loved the color-coded stickers)

--refills, so you don't have to buy a new one every year

    --stylish, fun colors and options

These are really durable planners -- they can take a beating and still look great -- which is critical, since most people take them with them, everywhere they go, for many, many years. In fact, one of our testers says it's become an everyday part of her life and motivates her to get and stay more organized than she's ever been.

We'd love to know what others think...and hear about other products that help you manage your busy schedules.
