Turn your child's drawing into an art collage

Janeleni

Kids draw a lot. We feel such pangs of guilt throwing some drawings away, but it's not like we can keep all of them. Oh, the inner turmoil...

Luckily, over on Design Mom, we just spied the MOST AMAZING THING EVER. Designer Jan Eleni takes your child's art, shrinks it down into little reproduction cards and then frames it all. The posters can feature 25 to 112 mini masterpieces. Your child is thrilled, you lose the guilt and your desk is cleared of stacks of old drawings. Win-win-win. Find out more here.

Did you look at the price for this! I think I may take the idea and do a similar project. Just scan your childs artwork and reprint on smaller cardstocks and frame. I'm sure it will cost a lot less than the starting price of $1200!

Great idea, Kitty! This seems totally doable at home.

I'm with Kitty. I was astounded by the price tag. $1200-3800 is not worth it. It is a sound idea to do at home though.

If your crafty, this is very easy to do yourself.

    Fan-tab-u-lous idea.

My mom took some of my kids artwork and scanned it in her computer. then she shrunk it down to 2"x3" sizes approximately and printed them out on magnet paper. So instead of having these huge pictures on the frige, we had magnets of their work. We gave them out as Christmas presents to the family that year.
