*UPDATE* Question for Everyone

I am interested to know, How many people would if they could move to a house in the country and live out there with barely having anything to do with other people? Growing your own food? Including raising pigs or cows for food? Homeschooling your children? I am talking about the whole experience.

^*^UPDATE^*^
We have found a 6 bedroom house in the country, has indoor shower and sink in bathroom and a full function kitchen but has a composting toilet about 30 feet from the house. (Better known as an outhouse.) lol. Its in Tennesse, so I'm completly happy. Cause my family is there. It has a creek in the back yard and a waterfall. The house is Spring feed with Water. YEAH!! I'm so thrilled! We are moving sometime this week. Thanks for all the responses.

Absolutly--sometimes life is so hectic, I long for the peace and quiet of solitude in the country. And sometimes, I just hate people.

Yes! Sometimes I'd like to live so far back they would have to pipe in sunshine.

Perhaps as a vacation home as lovely as it sounds I'd simply suffer from cabin fever if I had to live so separate divided from others.

I could never do it. I could deal with growing my own food and everything. The thing that would bother me is not proving my children with a public education.

I live out in the boones. Its much better then in the city, safer too.I think children need contact with other children or they grow up too fast.Kids need to be kids while they can. If you do home school, try home schooling other children with yours.Or you teach some subjects and have someone else teach others.Schools around my neck of the woods are not safe in the City.

except for growing my own food, I would do it. as for the homeschooling, I think that depends on your confidence in your abilities as a teacher.

Not having to deal with other people does sound appealing. However, I'm a city girl at heart. I like having city amenities like Wal-marts and "open 24 hours" places.
