Well 1st that is not what he said. He said that if he was president he would ask for Pakistan's help in capturing him. But if they refused to help then he would do what it takes to find Bin Ladin. (That's more than what this current president has tried to do, but that is not the point here.)
John McCain begin to lecture Obama for announcing his plan to attack Pakistan the world. HOW DARE YOU JOHN MCCAIN??? How can you lecture anyone and with this quote no less when you yourself have a song, to the melody of the beach boys Barbara Ann, that says bomb bomb bomb Iran??
Please tell me is that walking softly?? Or did you just trip over your big stick???

Report AbuseWhat is this song you speak of? I'm so sick of everyone praising Obama like he's their savior. The man has very little experience, hands down. That can't be argued. Everyone wants "change" but at the expense of someone who probably doesn't even really know what he's getting himself into? John McCain (if elected) isn't going to continue on with Bush's plans that are killing our economy...that's just insane to think that! But in all reality all politicians lie, they tell you want you want to hear to get elected. Think about that...

Report AbuseI will have to agree with cheflady, i am not so happy about neither of them, im having a hard time deciding who to vote for...John McCain it feels as if with him it'll be like having Bush all over again, and Obama well i dont know...he wants so many changes that it sounds to me as if once he's elected none of what he claims to change will be done.

Report AbuseI did like McCain's proposal in last night's debate, that $300-billion plan under which the government would buy up mortgages gone sour and allow the borrowers to refinance at an affordable rate. This could really save my sister and her family, they had great credit but when rates skyrocketed they couldn't pay, and this would help them stay in their house!

Report AbuseMcCain's plan is a dumb idea. Only someone with a degree in Keynesian economics would think splitting a mortgage into two parts is somehow “helping” the borrower.
Plus, anyone who is foolish enough to borrow from the government with full recourse would be asking for trouble. Ask anyone who is behind on their student loan payments. Miss a payment or two and the penalties and interest will multiply the balance due beyond the point where you will ever catch up, and the IRS will garnish your wages to get the money back.
And what about the non-homeowners who have worked hard and decided, responsibly, not to live under the Damocles’ Sword of an Adjustable Rate Mortgage knowing that, at some point, that rate was going to adjust upward and put them in serious trouble?
Screw us, apparently.
Here’s the thing, though. The value of housing fluctuates with the demand for housing. The government is hideously bad in picking the value of anything. Don’t believe me?
The government has been helping to set the value of health care through Medicare for decades.
How’s that been working out for Americans?
