Report AbuseFor me, every change of season is a reason to buy new clothes. As the summer winds down, I start hating everything in my wardrobe. The sweet, swingy skirts that once thrilled me with the promise of a new flirtation have lost their appeal; even walking shorts, my go-to summer item, no longer POP with crisp of-the-moment-ness. I start longing for full-length jeans and pumps, for a sweater vest or trench.
Time to hit up Ann Taylor!

Report AbuseI totally agree! I have a HUGE fetish about pens, school supplies, anything you can get at an Office Depot type store. I even like the way it smells! It is all the pretty colors, and POSSIBILITIES! I have a special fondness for sparkly pens and Sharpies of all types and colors, and stickers. ( I am 44 and a teacher...but I have always loved these things. I also tend to get bored with clothes at the end of the season, but my issue usually rolls around in April and May. Lands End and LL Bean clearance usually provide nicely! Happy Shopping, whatever your fetish!

Report AbuseI recently graduated from college although I'm 38 so I definitely still get the urge for nice school supplies. My big thing was the Mead Five Star notebooks because they have covers that can't be torn off. When they started making them in funky prints I was in heaven.

Report AbuseI always loved buying school supplies. I was the nerd that had my Trapper Keeper full of paper, with neatly sharpened pencils aligned on the inside pockets and with each pencil, scissors, compass, calculator, etc in it's own spot in my backpack (course now if you take scissors to school you'd be expelled). I was ready for school to start by the first week in August.
Even now I have every color Sharpie available, and absolutely nothing to color with them.
I graduated from college a year ago, and that first August was hard not to guy buy a ton of stuff.
