My opinion: Personally, I never really do anything about it, because I can see their "side", but I find it offensive sometimes, as this "new generation" has become a stereotype of all the youth of this generation. I get very annoyed when this topic comes up, because most of the time the person(s) is trying to insult me, and being a waiter... it's difficult to give them a clean defensive answer... if you understand where I'm coming from. To tell you the truth (without sounding like an idiot) but, Isn't it these "grandparents" whom rise my parents who rise me? Would it be not part their fault for our generation being this stereotype (corrupt)? I don't think blaming anyone solves anything (has it ever???).
Your opinion: I thought I'd ask what your opinions are... please don't try and insult me, I'm not trying to offend anyone, just giving my personal opinion.
Some questions to think about (Including the ones above in my opinion):
- Is pointing faults not contradictory?
- Do you feel you don't reside in this "stereotype" as well? (current generation)
- As the generation's parents, what do you think?
- As the parents of the generation's parents, what do you think? Who do you "blame"?
- Or is this all just a bunch of crap that no one should care about, and I'm just an idiot?
- What/who is influencing the youth to "act" this "way"?
