Where do you inadvertently splurge?

For me, it's H&M (I always stop by for some layering t-shirts and walk out with multiple bags of things that don't fit in my already-packed closet). And also, maybe surprisingly, The Container Store. I cannot wind my way through its maze of aisles without buying at least four storage solutions—not only am I convinced that by maximizing my closets I can add hundreds of square feet to my apartment, but I just love canvas bins, and paper drawers with all my heart. Organizing to me, is what packing is to Shop Girl, Emily Hsieh. Fortunately, The Container Store is having a huge sale, which extends to the brilliantly space-saving, Lucky-favorite, huggable hangers.

In need of a closet clean-up?  Follow the seven simple steps to an organized closet that we swear by!

I splurge on makeup. Little splurges on a lipstick or mascara. It gives me a boost and I don't break the bank.

Shoe Cents. Name brand shoes at the fraction of the cost! I love that place. I had an after five fancy gig. Off I went. Shoes were perfect for $40 ( originally $120) and the evening clutch for $ 19.

I'm with Elise, H&M is my weakness!! I can never get out of there without spending less than $50. Whether it's bras & panties or just t-shirts, I always leave with more than I anticipated on spending. I love their sale racks though...where else can you walk out with 7 or more items for less than $50???

I just got two dresses, a top, and a denim skirt for $9.99 each...all for under $40...at CJ Banks online (see my blog to see the two dresses, has pics). I splurge there, but I save A LOT of money when i do! :D Highly recommend their store, very good quality clothes at far less than what you'd pay at high end department stores. CJ Banks is womens sizes, but they also have a missy's sizes store, Christopher & Banks.

Ticket master and Travelocity! I love love love to go to concerts like Flo Rida, Robin Williams you name it and I love to travel. If a concert is in an awesome city like Chicago (where we can take our whole family by train from an hour from our home for $63 total, and we live 8 hours away go amtrak!) all the better.
