Sometimes we're all guilty of believing that the opposite sex has it easier. Society in general esteems men, but in his heart, a fair-minded man knows that with power comes great responsibility.
When women in the 20th century became active in society, and exceedingly more visible than their counterparts thousands of years before, they couldn't help but notice a dramatic decrease in men’s responsibility. Who wants to be responsible if someone else is ready to take that weight on their shoulders?
So what changed with women during the last hundred years? Suddenly their desires developed in such a way that family and home could no longer satisfy them. They looked around and saw men with their “trouble-free” and “interesting” lives, a life outside of a dull kitchen.
We humans are designed in a way which solely consists of desires – desires to go and get what we want. If we see something that we feel will make us happy we become unstoppable. And the whole history of our development shows how our desires make us change, grow, and move from one level to the next.
What was it that women desired when they decided a man’s life was better? Basically, fulfillment: to go and grab it, because who can ever deny a woman what she wants? That's right, no one.
There is an old saying – be careful what you wish for. After women attempted to make their lives more “interesting” (i.e. fulfilled), they discovered it became twice as hard as before. When they took on new responsibilities, they didn't take into account that no one would come and lift the old ones off their shoulders. And even if men wanted to free women from their natural duties, they wouldn't be able to since it’s simply not in their male nature.
In the end, we have huge problems between men and women, with
constant feelings that we are being taken for granted, and we don’t
see any real perspective for positive
change. Therefore, until we awaken ourselves with a desire to
do something about this problem, the whole world will continue to
feel imbalanced.
