God accepts you no matter what!

Hello, I'm Tracy, and an addict.  I just got out of jail 3 weeks ago because I relapsed on drugs after having 5 1/2 years sober.  I wrote a bunch of hot checks to support my habit.  Now I am trying to find a job, and it is very hard because I have two felonies on my record, so people frown at me.  I am keeping my head up though and trying to stay positive.  I know a door will open for me soon, and I will get a good job.
When I was sober for those 5 previous years God opened a door for me as soon as I was released from prison, and I had a wonderful job making $10.85 an hour.  I walked in to a local business and told them in these exact words, "Hello, my name is Tracy, I just got out of prison, I am a convicted felon, I don't even know how to turn on a computer, but I need a job, and more than willing to learn if you will give me a chance.  He hired me right then and there.  I started doing Data Entry, making $7.50 an hour.  In 3 yrs time I was making $10.85 an hour.  I was suspended from this company at the end of November,2007 for calling in 3 days in a roll without a doctors excuse.  When they told me I was suspended I broke down crying and told them I had relapsed on drugs.  I went home on suspension, and about 2 hours later I received a call letting me know that I was terminated from my job for using drugs.  I went down hill from there, and started using very heavily.  About 4 months later I was arrested and spent a month and a half in jail.  I was released 3 weeks ago, and just started looking for a job again, but this time with 2 felonies on my record.  I have faith that God will open another door for me this time also, therefore I'm not even worried.  He has a perfect job just for me, and I am just waiting for this door to be opened.
My message here is no matter what you've been through don't give up. Give you problems, worries, and concerns to God and have faith in him, and he will make a way no matter what your circumstances are.  He loves you no matter what you have done. Just ask him to come into your heart at anytime even in the mist of everything your doing, and he will.  He sees what's in your heart, and everything else is forgotten and forgiven.  God Bless You!!!!!!!

Sincerly,
Tracy Funderburk

"Perspective is a tough thing to keep, especially when things get tough, but I try. I try to remember what it was like before I became a mom, when I was just a tough-cookie career woman. Coming home from difficult days at work I’d try to drown out the stress with a workout, some silly TV, going for a walk and grabbing some takeout with my husband. It helped, but nothing helps like a smile and a hug from my daughter, and knowing (however difficult it might be to remind myself of this after a punching-bag day) that everything is just fine as long as I can come home and be her mom."
