I love women's community sites. Love em. Why? Because armed with the internet and my laptop I can network like never before. And so can you. Get busy! There is no good 'ol boys network that can overpower that. In fact, did you know "women's community" was the most searched phrase on the web last year? Tied with "politics".
American women are the largest economy on earth. We buy 85 percent of everything. That's becoming common knowledge to MOST consumer product and service marketers. We also are starting businesses at a record rate: a woman starts a business in this country every 60 seconds. Are you feeling empowered? You should. By 2010, there will be 80 million women in the workforce. We are unstoppable. There has never been a better time to be a woman in business.
Which brings me back to Shine. In my book I stress the fact that today your business life is an extension of your personal life. It's OK to care about fashion and be professional, embrace your own expression of fashion and style. It's awesome to be a parent and also want a great sex life. And it's critical that we harness the power of our money, and put it to work for us.
So, Shine on Shine.
