The Simple Solution to the Economy!!!! “In a nut shell”

Now that the election is near everyone wants to know how either McCain or Obama will fix the economy, they both have “plans” neither, of which seem very convincing. Market annalists have speculated as to what will help the dollar in foreign markets. All the while the simple solution to the economic crisis is very simple. The only person whom I’ve heard make any sense on the matter has been Donald Trump , and no I’m not a fan of The Apprentice. He says we need to not worry about the dollar on the foreign exchange market at all and bring most of the imported goods, which were once made in America back to America. It sounds simple right, well its not. We all want the jobs to stay here but none of us want to do the work. I mean who wants to work at a shoe factory while paying more for our goods. Everyone shops at Wal-Mart for the cheapest product (which is made in China) while complaining that they cannot afford groceries because their job was just cut. It’s a vicious circle that can only end if consumers will look for MADE IN USA. We all want to make more and pay less, IT DOES NOT WORK. There has to be a balance, think of the economy of having only 2 jobs. Keep in mind this is a very simplified version of the economy but it does give a fair representation. You have apple pickers and lawyers. Now everyone eats apples but no one wants to be a picker. Everyone wants to be a lawyer who makes more money and those lawyers don’t want to pay much for apples. Now we have a problem we have to outsource our apple picking to another country (which is a short term solution because eventually those the third world pickers will want to become lawyers as well) and we have many lawyers who don’t need each others services, therefore the lawyers can barely afford to pay for the cheap apples. Presidential candidates don’t want to purpose the plan of bringing the apple pickers back to the USA, because it’s not what we want to hear and wont get them elected. I mean who wants to hear that their kid may become an apple picker. Instead the candidates say “what we need is more education”, which sounds good and hey I’m all for educating your kids so they have choices but all that education will bring is more lawyers. We want to pay less and get more, and it will not work in the long run (which is what were starting to see). We have to be willing to pay a little more so the apple picker can make a little more and have a little less ourselves in order for there to be a balance. Its no wonder the rest of the world hates us we’ve made them our apple pickers and paid nothing for the apples they’ve been sending. At first they were happy to get the jobs until they saw all the lawyers sitting back and getting fat. Prices will go up and we’re far better off if we make them go up on our own to benefit our own people.

Not only is the truth not politically correct it’s dangerous. When you start talking about placing tariffs on goods from foreign countries many of those foreign companies (and their American partners who have outsourced to them) start getting very upset. Were talking billions of dollars is in lost revenue.  It damages foreign relations and in the words of Mr. Trump “will get you shot.”

I’m glad that are able to help the rest of the world but don’t think for a minute that just because you’ve made the president of a country happy by engaging in free trade which helps his countries economy immediately, that you improved relations with that country in the long run. The peasants who slave to make those cheap goods that are sent to our country will begin to hate us for our exploiting of them and the next president who is elected to that country will share their sentiment. Iran is a perfect example….

What I am seeing is outsourcing taking the place of legalized slavery. Think about it, we cannot legally pay workers here in the U.S. slave wages, so what’s the solution? Send the work to a 3rd world communist country and let them build toys, shoes, and gadgets for $5 per day! I mean what so wrong with paying a 10 year old child $.60 per hour to make tennis shoes as long as your kid can go to school in style, the basket ball players get their endorsements and the company makes huge profits. I don't as an American think that everything has to be made here, I mean common sense will tell you things like electronics may never be able to produced cheaper then China. But things like clothing automobiles, tools and more I think we can make better, and we should be able to compete with imports. Like you said every one wants to save a few cents on the dollar sacrifice quality, and American jobs. I have created a website selling only Made in USA items, it's called www.americanmadeonly.com or madeinusaproductsstore.com. Everything is made in USA. I am currently rebuilding the site and will have the new site up in about a month or so. You can still make orders through the old site, but I have let it go to work on the new one and there are broken links and such. If you have any questions you can also email me from the contact us page. Thanks for let me ramble on about my theories and buy mad in USA!
