Bruce Springsteen was born September 23, 1949, in Freehold, NJ. Among his famous albums are "Born to Run" (1975), "Born in the U.S.A." (1984), "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band" (1986) and the Grammy Award-winning album "Tunnel of Love" (1987). Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. The following year he released "The Rising," which deals in part with the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks by terrorists on the United States. The album won three Grammy Awards in 2003, including best rock album and best rock song (The Rising).
Stephen Victor Tallarico was born March 26, 1948, in New York. He is the lead singer of the rock group Aerosmith, which he helped form in 1970. The group moved to Boston, signed with Columbia Records in 1972 and released their self-titled debut album in 1973. Other albums include "Toys in the Attic" (1975) and "Permanent Vacation" (1987). His daughter is actress Liv Tyler.
