A little story

It is now time for all little boys and girls to put their p.j.'s on and come sit by the fire to hear Uncle Hoglet tell a little story before you all have to go to bed!

"one dark night in the middle of the day, two dead boys got up to play.  They faced each other back to back, pulled out swords and shot.  When the deaf police man heard the noise, he ran down the street and shot the two boy.  If you don't think this stories true ask the blind man, he saw too".  Well that one seems to have been to scary for little Timmy, maybe someone can help him change his wet pants.  I'm looking at the old clock on the wall, and it seems that I have time for one more story.

"I checked the rifle again...., everything was fine just as it had been the other dozen time I'd checked the rifle. I wipe sweat from my hands and forehead, Dallas will always be hot.  Only fifteen minutes then everything would be set right.  I feel I owe you a little bit of an explanation for my actions this day, and here to the best of my abilty it is.  I don't belong to this world, correction I belong to this world, just not this time.  I will not bore you with when I come from just that it is the future, and quite a different one then you will enjoy.  However the "Brains" from my time say that if this suceeds then our two time lines will merge and we shall enjoy the same things as you.  In our time line the man I am about to kill survived, in fact this moment never even occured.  Because of that WWIII broke out before 1970, and it was as had been predicted by you "NUCLEAR".  The exact number of dead and or dying will never be known only that people did survive and continue to survive.  By the mid 1980's the eggheads had found a way to counter the radiation and the Earth was "cooled down".  Then they found a way to spilt the fabric of space and time, that's where they discovered this time line and its simularities to our own, at least up to this point.  If this works then my own world will be gone forever all the knowledge we were forced to create will be gone.  On the plus side it will not be needed.  Which brings us to me, I will not be needed, in fact will never even be born.  I am okay with this, I have seen the worst and will blink out of existance without fear, without doubt.  I stand in the third floor window of the book dipository, knowing that someone else will be blamed for my heinous act, but knowing that it must be done...  I must kill my own great grandfather.  I recheck the rifle one last time as the motorcade rounds the corner, in a couple of seconds it will all be over........"

So, what do you think, looks like more that little Timmy soiled themselves on this story.  Hopefully  my mind is not wiped by the guys running this show and I'll be able to bring you more bed time stories.

    hoglet,

Thanks, I'll check it another time!

I like Stephen King, and Dean Koontz, Rod Sterling.

Just not all in the same story!

Lots of different stuff in there! Kind of got lost!

    Keep writing though!

Wow-that story was challenging...thanks for the advice...I know he should choose but hes been dating her two years, me about five months. He says he's not ready for commitment, was married 28 years. Can I really expect more already? We are not on great terms right now and I am trying so hard not to contact him. I always cave in, but I am trying a new approach-so far not working...
