As it thundered and lighting I was running for my life. The
woods went past me at blindingly speeds. The different shades of
green blurred, as I ran. I could hear the Hunters footsteps behind
me. The Hunters. These beasts who took the form of any creature
they desired. Right now, they were running as cheetahs, trying to
catch up with me. But both they and I knew that they never would. I
must have been reaching almost 75 mph. I was no ordinary human, but
I was no alien either. Gosh no, I didn't believe in aliens. But
I did believe in science. There are two kinds of sciences in this
world, one good and one that will kill millions. The people at the
Lab called me Wonder Woman, but I prefered Bethany. That was my
real name. Sheesh, my real name, I thought. My real name
that my real parents had given me 12 years ago on December 17,
1996. I had found the files in the office. I found the files that
said that my parents were told I had died. Then they took me into
the woods and left me there. They left me there to see if I held
any extra ability. If I hadn' t they probably would have let me
die. But, unfortunately I showed super intelligence. Right now, I
wished that I had been left to die. I had grown up thinking that
having needles in your arm and knowing the square root of pie at
age 10 was normal. I thought that parents were a myth. I thought
that TV was so that you could watch the History Channel. But I had
figured out years ago that it was all a scheme. I was the only one
of the five of us with superior intelligence. The others had other
abilities. We never met each other, and I know assume that it was
because THEY were afraid we would try to escape. As my hand cut on
a thorn bush, it brought me back to the present. I increased my
speed and ran harder. The Hunters gave up and turned back into
human form. I saw out of the corner of my eye that they had wepons.
I tried to run faster but my heart wouldn't give in. I found a
tree and did my best to scale it. I finnaly scrambled up the tree
and hid in the shrubbery. I could hear their quiet talk from where
I perched. When the smarter one looked up, and stared straight into
my eyes. Shock crossed my face, then fear, than at last, anger. I
stared at him back and then took one flying leap!
I REALLY HOPE YOU ENJOYED THAT! ILL CONTINUE TO WRITE IF I GET AT
LEAST 3 COMMENTS. I ENJOY HEARING YOUR THOUGHTS, SO ANY
COUNT.
AS ALWAYS,
