Blame it on Sayid. LOST update 4-1-09

Sorry it took so long to post this.

OK here we go. Sayid shot little Ben. Which makes Kate and Sawyer take him to Richard. So Sayid is the reason that Ben is the way he is. Richard said that he would be one of them forever, and have no recollection that this ever happened. That explains the question that Hurley asked Miles.

Did you notice that Sawyer is calling Kate Freckles again? And when he said that he was doing this for her, did you think that he was talking about Juliet? I think that he was talking about his daughter.

So what if Charles finds out? What does Widmore have to do with all this? Does this mean that little Faraday is also on the island? Is Charles the leader of the others? Why is Richard always the same?

WHERE IS CLAIRE???

Now we know where Aaron is. What do you think about Kate giving him to Claire's mom? I know that she is his grandmother but, he does not know her.

    Hi 29,

I feel "blah" today. I didn't get online all day today. Maybe that was good for me. I got a lot of stuff done--moved furniture and got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the floor--but it only made me feel like I had more to do. I mean, I accomplished a lot, but the more I got done, the longer my list of "things still not done" got. Anyone else every have a day like that?

Anyway, I really wanted to post here, because I feel like I've been neglecting you and my "Lost" thoughts, and this really is my favorite blog, so I wanted to get back on track.

I hope you're doing well, and getting yourself and everyone else settled in to the new digs. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and keeping up with my promise to pray for you and your family.

Okay, "Lost" stuff up next. :)

You know, you just have to love Hurley, don't you? He's right there with all the rest of us, going, "Huh?" All the questions he was asking were great, and so in character for him. They were helpful for both the viewers and the writers to keep the whole story together. I thought it was a great device. (Please excuse my nerdiness.)

So, considering Hurley, and considering the title of your blog, I really got to thinking, just whose fault is this whole thing? I guess that's kind of the point. Pondering that question takes us back to the whole science vs. faith theme that the show has been working with all along. The science part being that there has to be some kind of "formula" or something that could take us back to a particular point in time to work this "problem" all out so that "no one" is at "fault" anymore. Faith being that, as Eloise said, "the universe has a way of 'course correcting.'"

I guess I could really go on about this forever, and I guess that's sort of the point.

Sayid only came back to the Island because he shot that guy on the golf course because Ben told him that he had to in order to keep his friends safe. Of course, Sayid always had free will, and always knew that Ben was a liar and manipulator. So, did Sayid REALLY need to kill all those people? Or, is Sayid really just a killer, as Ben said?

Young Ben always wanted to join the Hostiles/Others and was willing to do anything to make that happen. He WAS NOT patient. He didn't know anything about Sayid, but he let him out anyway. He didn't listen to Richard. Ben was always totally self-serving.

Ben's dad was horrible to Ben. He beat him and punished him for being born and blamed him for the death of his wife, Ben's mother. Surely, some part of Ben must have believed he really was a murderer. Ben's dad was a bad dad.

Horace brought Ben to the Island.

Everyone in the DI knew Ben's dad beat him, yet did nothing about it.

    OR

Did the Island orchestrate all these things? Did the Island kill Ben's mother just as Horace was driving by? Did the Island make Ben's father beat him so that he would turn out to be the Ben that would manipulate everyone he came in contact with, and turn Sayid into a civilian killer who would go back in time and shoot him as a child so that he could be turned in to a hostile/Other?

    What is "The Island"?

Just as Richard took young Ben, some of the Ohters asked about Ellie and Widmore. Richard said he didn't care and didn't answer to them, then took him to the temple. Who *does* he answer to?

There has to be some connection between the Island and the fountain of youth/eternal life. The Others can sometimes come and go from the Island, but they must always return. If they leave in the wrong way, they can never return and are "banished." It's not just Richard who doesn't age; none of the Others are old.

Btw, how did Juliet know that the Others could save Ben? It's always been made to seem to us that she never wanted to be made a permanent part of the Others. Is that true? Maybe what was done to Ben was also done to her and she wasn't given a choice? Can she actually leave the Island? How much does she know? How much has she told Sawyer?

I did notice that Sawyer called Kate "Freckles", but I don't know how much that means. I guess we'll see...especially if it turns out that Kate is pregnant with Jack's baby.

Angela, I am still not finished moving. We lived in that house 6 1/2 years. When we moved in we only had 2 kiddos. There is still so much to do. I have to be finished by Saturday night. Thank you for your prayers.

I know exactly how you feel about house work. You can do the dishes, and as you put them away you see that you need to clean out the cabinet they are in. Then you decide to clean out the fridge, spill something on the floor and before you know it you are on you hands and knees scrubbing the tile and baseboards. All of this in one room and the rest of the house to go. UGH!!! I hate house work.

    OK LOST stuff.....

If I were a character on LOST I would be Hurley. Personality wise we are a lot alike. As I am watching the show I will say something and he says it at the same time or just a moment later. I also have the food issues. I am an emotional eater and if I had been the one that caused a balcony to fall as I stepped on it you can bet I would eat my weight in fried chicken.

Point of my rambling here is that his questions were just what I was thinking. I even said something to my hubby about it being back to the future like. I had that thought when we saw them in the pic that Christian showed Sun.

OK I am wondering. Who are the people that Sayid shot? Why did Ben tell him to shoot them. I know that they were dangerous to him and the other 6, but why?

Were they really hired by Widmore? Were they people that knew that Ben killed everyone in the purge?

Why were they after the 6?

Yes, but the real question is: Where are Rose and Bernard? Haha! Just kidding :)

Hello ladies! I've been busy. I'm visiting mom right now and I'm sick! The kids are sick too. I've been stuck in the house now for two days.

Well, you both have pretty much covered everything I wanted to say.

I'm shocked at the new Jack. I really couldn't believe he refused to help young Ben. He's just decided to let things happen.

I loved the scene with Kate and Aaron, when she was saying good-bye to her baby. That scene really broke my heart (especially when they add the sad LOST music). I really saw a different side to Kate here. At least now we know for sure where Aaron is. Oh, and how does Kate know that Claire is alive? She sounded pretty sure.

Miles and Hurley were funny. I like when Miles said he would shoot them in the leg if they tried to escape the cabin :)

Looks like next week is all about Ben, yay! I love my Ben.
