Buy Handmade. Buy local.

user

I recently spent some time at the mall.  Those that know me know that I really dislike the mall.....I can't really explain why, but I just don't like them.   I was on a mission for a few things, and figured I could do some one stop shopping.....mission accomplished.

While I was there, I took a look around.  A good look around.  And noticed some pretty cool things are being sold at *big box stores*.  Well designed things.  Handmade looking things.  Things that I have seen for years at Craft Fairs and Galleries.  But, they're not made here.  They're made *over there*.

Clearly, people want to own cool things.....otherwise, these stores wouldn't be selling them. And while I understand that these stores have the right to sell them, I also understand that there are artists HERE that are trying to sell them, too.

So, I am going to do my part to support the *here* artists.  For they will in turn support me.  And in these trying times, we need all the support we can get.

Try it.  Buy something handmade.  Or buy something that is locally made.  It's easier (and in some cases, cheaper) than you may think.

Enjoy.
