It's great to see so much user content, but we're getting the feeling that you think you have to submit to a category in order to get your post visible.
That's not so: If you submit your post to “Only My Blog” you can write about anything you want, your post will still be visible to the Shine community, and it will still show up in “Chatter on Shine”.
You should only select a category when your post is a great match for one of the Shine channels and you want the channel editor to consider it for featured placement.
You've seen their faces, so now let's meet the editors!
Brandon Holley – Shine Editor-in-Chief
Annette Cardwell - Shine Managing Editor
Jennifer Romolini - Shine Editor, Fashion + Beauty
Jessica Ashley - Shine Editor, Healthy Living
Anne Ichikawa - Shine Editor, Entertainment
Charlene Prince Birkeland - Shine Editor, Parenting
Erin Flaherty - Shine Editor, Love + Sex
Dory Devlin - Shine Editor, Work + Money
Maggie Nemser - Shine Editor, Food
Valerie Rains - Shine Editor, At Home

Report AbuseThat's nice, but how about making a few new categories like humor or maybe miscellaneous for those who write blogs that don't fit into any of the other categories.
And it would be an improvement for us to be able to delete comments from our blogs that might be offensive or derogatory.

Report AbuseWhat a cool website...love it! The thing that got my attention was the comment about "life getting crazy" on my Yahoo main page. Pushed just the right button ;-)

Report AbuseI think the confusion comes in here "Keep in mind that, if you select the category “My Blog,” your post won't be featured by any of our editor's blogs and will not be public." Which is to the write when you write your blog under "What is a category?"
Maybe if you could clarify that section there would be less blogs trying to fit into categories they don't belong.

Report AbuseHi Ladies,
Great comments! Hi Vaness - if you see an offensive or derogatory comment on your blog, please help us by clicking the abuse report link below that comment. Hi Desiree - great catch on the sidebar. We are working on fixing it. :)

Report AbuseI would like to be able to post different topics under the same author. For instance I have a homemade skin recipe blog which has articles and recipes about skin care. In addition I am interested in green living. I would like to blog on yahoo about green living but I dont want to include the articles in my skin care blog. So how could I do that-create a whole new identity?

Report AbuseI agree with the categories and also being able to delete comments or least be able to moderate them would be nice.
