Growing up poor has come to a full advantage for
me in these times. Having kids to deal with and not having a
bunch of money to entertain them hasn't been much of an
issue.
1. Take them to the library. Just because your poor
doesn't mean your not educated.
2. Washing cars in the front yard is always a good
time. Don't let the little ones hold the hose to long
though.
3. Going out for cheap ice cream isn't too
hard. The fast food chains have a cone for 79 cents verses
the big dogs for 2.59.
4. The mall is always fun to walk and start your Christmas
list.
5. Plant seeds and watch them grow.
6. Look in the paper for an early show or find a dollar
theater near by. It's ok to bring your own secret
snacks..in your big bag.
7. Lunch in the park and bring your own stuff.
Make sure you don't forget to feed the squirels.
8. Do crafts with your recycling pile. Milk
cartons, card board, etc. make great supplies.
9. Play a board game.
10. Get out blankets and pillows and pick out a DVD out of the
pile. Make a frozen pizza.
11. (fill in)
