Christina Applegate & me: The middle years

The second time I interviewed Christina, we were joined by Mya (second from left) and Brittany Murphy (right).

The year: 2005

The premise: To discuss what it's like to be the daughter of a breast cancer survivor

The highlight: Christina told this sweet story about her mom, singer and actress Nancy Priddy:
My mom is a total goofball. She's been making an album for like 10 years...and she writes silly, silly songs. Most of them are about drinking Chardonnay, but she has some beautiful songs, too. One is called "Christina's Carousel," about me. She also did an album in the '60s with a song called "Christina's World" and that's why she named me Christina. That was actually a really cool album; they just rereleased it in London."

Of course, I tracked down clips to both tracks. Give a listen to hear what her mom was thinking.
