Did you know that your local news reporter writes their material?
Not a big deal until you listen with the following
screen:
What is the likelihood that this reporter has runs in the same
circles, would like to run in the same circles, has kids in the
same circles? In other words, when is the last time they had
a cocktail in same room as the subject. Observe how often
your reporter "hosts" local events and the local events
they host. Always look for the slant - it is there.
Most news persons are news commentators not journalist.
Walter Cronkite was an icon because he was a journalist with
integrity.
