David Duchovny and Tea Leoni split: Sex addiction or Billy Bob Thornton to blame?

On the heels of Madonna's divorce from Guy Ritchie, comes news that David Duchovny is splitting from actress Tea Leoni, his wife of 11 years. We know, he’s a recovering sex addict just out of a six-week stint in rehab and plays a sex-obsessed writer on “Californication,” but the real reason they’re splitting up: Billy Bob Thornton.
Billy Bob met Tea earlier this year when they were filming a comedy called “Manure.” David reportedly discovered “explicit text messages” on Tea’s cell phone from Angelina Jolie’s creepy ex-husband. Even worse, a friend of the new couple says Tea has been playing groupie at a couple of Billy Bob’s band's shows, helping him load and unload his truck. Ugh!
Duchovny and Leoni have two kids together, 9-year-old daughter Madelaine West and 6-year-old son Kyd. Tea had encouraged David to get treatment for his addiction and tried to keep the separation private for the sake of their children.
They say bad things comes in threes… will there be another celeb split before the week’s end? [

Wow, it's sad abuot David Duchovny's and Tea Leoni's break-up. They seemed happy - - so, that goes to show that "looks" aren't everything.
Hopefully, they are seperated because David needs help - - period.
So, if it's that bad news come in triplicate, I'd say Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupree are next - - the gossip is , he is bad for her career and was behind the SuperBowl "fiasco", which we all know, she has consistently gone downhill since then.

Hasn't Billy Bob Thornton been married and divorced like 5 times? Why would any sane woman dump her husband for a guy like that?
I can't say as I was shocked by their split but it makes me sad. I was hoping they'd be one of the rare Hollywood couples that stays together.

I think that Billy Bob is kinda cute but he's a wild one and she's been married to David for 11 yrs. Work through it make it work. If she knows anything about Billy Bob's past shows he's not true to anyone he's been with. Going from one fire to another isnt a good thing to do.

If David Duchovney is a sex addict you can bet he did his share of cheating on Tea Leoni. I don't condone her infidelity, but stuff happens when your relationship is failing. I also can't see how playing a sex addict on a cable tv show is going to benefit Duchovney's rehabilitation any. As for Billy-Bob. . .he's creepy and even Tea Leoni could do better.
