Dear God

user

Dear God,   I would like to take this opportunity to thank you---in the name of the Father, of the Son, of the Holy Spirit--for every single thing that's happened to and with me in 2008.   I may have seemingly fallen in/out of life/love, but then I'm grateful for all the things I've seen, learned, and experienced.   It's because of you, Lord, that I'm here, and it's for you that I've chosen to continue living despite the adversities that came my way.   Only you and I will always know what we've both been through together. There have been times when I nearly felt like giving up as everything seemed vague and inner peace seemed illusive. I knew you were just there, perhaps trying to test my faith, but to no avail, because this child of yours was born to combat all negativity, within and without.   Hence, I surrender again to you all my strengths and weaknesses with a prayer that you will hold sway over whatever temptation coming my way, and my permission that you may bypass my freewill because I trust that with you, I will never go wrong. How can I? Let satan tell it to the marines!   I thank you, God, for every time I opened my rented room and I would just curl up behind the door crying my heart out like a poor kid screaming "Help me if you can. I'm feeling down..."   I'm sorry for the times that I felt so far away from you, and I thank you for helping me pick up the pieces again, learn from my mistakes, grow from the experience.   Please give me the grace to forgive all those who have hurt me. My resolution for the New Year is that I will be closer to You, I will be more faithful to You, I will continue to be Your instrument of Peace for everyone around.   As a writer, a makeup artist, a beauty queen coach/mentor, a call center agent, a citizen of the Philippines... I want You to utilize my talents, gifts, abilities, intelligence, and other skills to help make this a better place to live in and to contribute something to the healing of the world.   Thank you so much for everything.
With all my heart, mind and soul,   Ariel Allera
