Educational Excellence
My congrats to President Obama for giving special recognition to
the true role models for our country. Men and women who have
made great scientific and technological contributions to our
society. These are the people we need our kids to look up
to. We need to strive for educational excellence. Not just
let our kids fog out on video games. I'm talking to
myself here. My son as an autistic child obviously can't
compete with the other kids, but there are many others who
can. We must not "dumb down" our society in the
name of equality. If all the other countries are smarter than
us, eventually they will pass us up. In fact, this may
have already happened, but there is still hope. Let's
make education challenging and fun. Competing can be great
fun. I've always enjoyed a good game of "Trivial
Pursuit".
