Okay, let’s take a closer look at the newest television show that seems to be blazing new trails in the ratings. The Eleventh Hour TV show is an American remake of the British hit show. Let me just say first of all that it seems like America, Hollywood has been taking all its material from outside this past decade. Want me to prove my point? Well, there have always been Hollywood remakes of classic European shows and films. Now, think of the office, that was a big thing in the U.S. Of course Steve Carell was great in that one, but if you’ve seen the original you would know that it is better. The American version is great too, but the comedy is exaggerated because as we all know, Americans have slower comprehension and suffer from short attention spans. Therefore, the originals are good but are usually watered down by exaggeration and heavy handedness. There might be some exceptions though, I like The Departed which was a U.S. remake of the Taiwanese Infernal Affairs. But who would ever prefer the U.S. versions of The Grudge, The Ring, and My Sassy Girl once they have watched the original Asian version?

With that framework in mind, let’s look at the newest pirated brand to hit our shores, the Eleventh Hour TV show that was originally from Britain. It is critically acclaimed. The story follows the exploits of Dr. Hood, a covert government agent assigned to handle the creepy science related crimes.

So far, the Jerry Bruckheimer produced American version of Eleventh Hour TV show is doing fine. But it already seems a bit watered down. It’s still good though. The creepy doctor that knows everything is still there. The female bodyguard has become sexy and sex starved.
