FARRAH FAWCETT.........................In The Hardest Role Of Her Life!!
user
What a girl! This poster donned most every young boys wall or
t-shirt. The iconic beauty from Corpus Christi, Texas was not
just a radiant specimen on the outside she exuded vibrance and
innocence yet had the common sense to know her limits.
I first remember Farrah as the maned model for Wella Balsam Hair
Condition. Every girl I knew had to use Wella
Balsam..........wouldn't we then look like Farrah?
The original Jill Munroe in Charlie's
Angels..................what a babe!!! It was a short-lived
role for Farrah and she moved on to a more serious acting
career.
Fawcett achieved critical praise and the first of 3
Emmy Award nominations as a serious actress for her role as a
battered wife in the fact-based1984 TV movie The Burning Bed.
The movie provided a nationwide 800 number that offered help for
victims of domestic abuse.
Fast forward an incredible life.......This morning Ryan O'Neal,
from Farrah's hospital bed, expressed his immense devotion to
the love of his life and through tears, spoke of his
Farrah's final journey and asked for well wishes. He said
that Farrah asked him if she was going to make it, and if she did
she asked if Ryan would take her to Italy. Ryan
O'Neal told Meredith that they would not be making the trip to
Italy........................
Thanks for the memories Farrah. My prayers are for you and
your loved ones.

Haba, I am sooo glad you posted this blog! My heart breaks for her! I have always loved and admired this lady...seems she never received the acting credit that she so deserved! My most heartfelt prayers go out to her and her family. I look forward to seeing her documentary Friday night.

Morning Haba,
OMG the burning bed was one of my favorites. She did another one were she played a postal worker, that tried to kill her kids. For the life of me I can not think of the title. My thoughts and prayers are going up for her and her family.

When Farrah played Dianne Downs, the mother who shot her three children, I saw greatness in her acting. I read the book before seeing the movie and I can't imagine another actress invoking such intense feelings as I felt toward the murdering mom.

A two-hour documentary, Farrah's Story, shot by Fawcett and her friend Alana Stewart about her battle with the disease, will air on NBC on May 15, 2009.
Please if you can't watch it, record it. She was truly amazing as is her friend Alana Stewart.

Good Morning..Hab...harley and Ms. Kim....It just goes to show that no matter how famous or how much money one has...one can not avoid illness...it shows no discrimination towards anyone....It's a sad thing...My heart and prayers go out to her and her loved ones.....almost every guy that I knew had that first pic plastered on their walls....John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever had it on his closet door........The Burning Bed....awesome movie!....I can think of a few guys that I woulda loved doing that too!.... Wella Balsam....that commercial came out in the 70's?...I was too young...but I remember my sister using it...It was gonna take a he!! of alot more than Wella Balsam to get that look for her hair...or anything else on her....lol...Have a great day and Much Love to you...xo

Allwell----Such kind, poignant words. My heart is so heavy today after seeing the last few interviews. I hope she makes it to see her own documentary tomorrow night.
Thanks .....
