Fast Food Folly

Well, happy Halloween, spookees and spookettes.  I was trying hard to blow my diet today, but the fast food establishments just weren't cooperating.  My daughter and I went to see the movie "Couple's Retreat" and then we went to Sonic.  I got bold and ordered a burger and shake.  Their first tactic was to send the employee out to my car with a large diet coke and have them say "Did you order this?"  To which I replied, "No!"  Then they fooled around in the kitchen for about 20 minutes hoping I'd drive away before poisoning my system with all of that fat and calories, but did I take the hint? No, I've been so poor that fast food has basically been a thing of the past, but I wanted to splurge a little. After all it was Halloween.  Finally, after a substantial line had built up behind me they returned and brought my hamburger and a Mini Shake.  My daughter had to rub it in by saying, "Mom, when I get the burger special, they bring me a large shake."  Don't you just love teenagers?  You know its time to go on a diet when the whole community is conspiring against you.
