My wife and I got Forrest from an animal rescue, House Rabbit Society of Ohio. He was found under a semi truck covered in motor oil. There was also a lab a quarter mile away, and we suspect he probably escaped.
We took in the rabbit and on his first night home, we were watching Forrest Gump on DVD. He was running around in the living room and decided to chew on the electric cord to the lamp... that was on. Needless to say he got shocked.
We heard a lout ZOT the the lights actually DIMMED for a second... then heard the rabbit angrily chicking the wall. So I get up, we checked out the rabbit... he's fine... just pissed as heck. I tape up the light with electrical tape, my wife, B, calms the rabbit down. I was like... 'Betcha won't do that again' and then turn the rabbit loose. We go back to the movie... and ...
ZOT!
At that point we named him Forrest for not bieng the brightest bulb on the christmas tree. He's a bit destructive at times, but to be honest I would not give him up for the world.
