Great Blue Heron
I painted this Great Blue Heron since I see them quite often in the
wetlands near the Great Lakes. Some people belive that
wetlands have no value, yet they are an important part of the
ecosystem. They help prevent floods, filter out
pollution and are nurserys for fish and birds. The heron
is one of the more colorful denizens of wetlands. Read more
about this topic in my book, The Dynamic Great Lakes,
available at Amazon.com and bn.com.
