Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" may not hit theaters till July, but people are lining up at toy stores to scoop up action figures of the Joker as played by the late Heath Ledger. One Toys ‘R' Us employee confessed, "There are none left in the warehouse, either. You will be waiting a while if you want one." FAO Schwarz in New York and many other stores have yet to receive their shipments. Retailing for $9.99 in stores, we already found some going for $30 on eBay.
With this kind of interest, hype and desire to remember Heath, we can make a safe bet that Batman will be one huge blockbuster smash this summer!
Do you think it's weird the way people are buying up his memorabilia? Are you looking forward to the movie? [NY Post]
