Report Abuseif you are not a citizen or you don't have a green card you must apply for a work permit through the immigration and naturalization service. go to the INS website and search work permit and it will tell you what you need to do in order to get one.

Report Abusesorry just looked at other stuff on your blog...if you are sixteen now, you should not have to have a work permit, but every state/town have different rules for young people working. do a search of the rules and regualtions of a 16 yr old needs to follow on the internet for what ever state you leave in.
