How to fold a fitted sheet

Christopher Coppola

Say goodbye to crinkly messes

Step 1:
Lay the sheet on a bed or a large table and fold in and smooth all the edges.

Step 2:
Fold in half horizontally, sliding the top gathered end into the pocket of the bottom gathered end. If the sheet's sides are ungathered, lay them flat; if gathered, slide them in, too.

Step 5:
Then fold over the smooth end.

Step 6:

Just take the sheets off the bed, wash them, and put them directly back on the bed. Folding eliminting.

I actually have heard Martha Stewart's (I think, not that I watch that felon) way of folding fitted sheets quickly and it's not that hard!

On one of the short ends of the sheet (the two corners at the top or bottom, not side to side), poke your index fingers into the corners. Put your fingers together and fold one corner over the other finger/sheet corner. Do the same to the bottom corners (make sure you go in the same direction as you did the other end). and lay out flat. The corners are still pretty square, and you just fold it up like a regular sheet. (This is pretty hard to explain with only words, but it works.)

Unless you weirdly iron your sheets or something, then you may want to do the above.

This was very helpful! I do remember buying some of her sheets years ago and I had more problems putting them on my bed then I did in folding them! LOL! But still this was very helpful to me.

I fold them the same as Jules---a lot quicker, very neat & you don't have to hunt for large, uncluttered workspace!

Writers_block, you must have just one set of sheets. Not that there's

    anything wrong with that.

Most of us have more than one set.
