I want to learn to cook well.

Who doesn't want to know how to cook? I would love to learn how to cook a bit better in the next year, you know so that I won't starve, and else to impress others with my skills. So, I am going to find some recipes and make them, get some cookbooks, veiw some cooking sites, and if anyone else has any suggestions feel free to communicate them with me, thanks in advance. I love to watch Chef Gordon Ramsey's F word and I want to try to make something from there. I love to eat so learning to prepare some of the cuisines I enjoy would be a great thing to learn.

Hello Meechie, Good luck. It took me a while but I finally got it down! Just remember you can always improvise using less of an ingredient or more and substituting ingredients to satisfy your personal taste. Let us know how your first meal turns out!

My favorite and i am in the kitchen all the time is Cooks Illustrated. They test recipes 4-5 different ways and show you the best way top cook everything from chicken to french fries, i have found that they give fabulous ideas and advice, they are online or you can get the magazine check them out. also for simple to make homestyle recipes try Taste of Home magazine or .com, they are great too and the pics are wonderful.

Thanks for the advice flutterbyze i will definitely check it out. I used to cook more a few years ago but not anymore, so I am excited to get back in the kitchen, but even then I only knew how to cook few things. I could cook good chicken Alfredo, from scratch, well everything except for the noodle so maybe it'll be better if I learn to make the pasta too. I forgot how to make it though, but I'm pretty sure I'll learn how-to-make a few more things well as long as I take the time to be dedicated to cooking and not just say I am tired I don't feel like it I'll eat McDonald's LoL

I am going to try and take pictures and post recipes to stuff I make. I am going to warn you guys though I like to eat crazy things I mean I eat normal things but I love unique combinations that in theory seem like they don't go together. And sometimes they don't, but don't worry the ones that taste like crap, won't be posted. LoL.

Well we can both learn together I'll share with you recipes and you can share with me. I too love Hell's Kitchen and F-word and Kitchen Nightmares. I like Chef Ramsey and find him attractive, I like men like him who have this presence when they enter a room that demands attention.
