Independence Day
I keep hearing people talking about the 4th Of July. Is that all that it has become? Just a date? Is it just a day that we get off of work ot kids get off of school? Have we really forgotten? It's Independence Day, folks. It's the day that our forefathers fought and died for us so that we could live free in a country that we can call our own. Free of being told what to do or how to live or be governed by England. We are free to to believe in what we want to, say what we want to, write what we want to, live as we want to. That means a lot to me. We can do and say whatever we want without fear of being sent to the gallos. I love this country and I am not afraid to wear a T shirt that declares something in reference to my appreciation of my fellow Americans who have and still are fighting to preserve the freedom that I love. The T shirt I am proudly wearing today says "Home Of The Free, Because of The Brave". Whenever I see the fireworks filling the skies, I imagine that this is how it must fave looked more than 200 years ago when our forefathers took a stand against the British which said 'this is our country and you are not welcome'. God Bless America. May our freedom ring forever.
